I am just like you. I am an ordinary person with a drive towards feeling good, betterment and growth due to my past feelings of emptiness and purposelessness, constant disappointment on the sportsfield, relationships and career. I just did not feel good enough. And I believed I was never good enough.
Rewind: I was born in Ficksburg, a small town in the Eastern Free State. I have two awesome brothers and I had a very good childhood. Since a young age, I always imagined that I could heal animals and people. Who would have guessed that I could do it now for real?
Somehow I Knew There Was More To Life
I asked many times, “Why are we on this planet if there is only suffering, pain, sadness and illness? What is the purpose then?” I had to ponder for a moment if I really want to share some tragic events in my life and I realised maybe you can relate to it. I will share four major events.
1) When our grandfather passed away I was devastated from observing the pain and sadness it caused in our family.
2) I was part of the provincial hockey team and we were on our way to a national tournament. We didn’t make it there. The team was in a tragic accident. Two of my teammates passed away. I broke my hips in several places and was down for 6 weeks. Due to my injuries, I had to stop with athletics and my hockey passion seemed to come to an end.
3) Many years later, I completely dislocated my wrist in a freak accident and now have limited mobility.
4) I was retrenched working as a gym-group area manager.
There are so many more events…
Phew, now that we got that out of the way. In all these events there was a bigger energy, a bigger idea that helped me to move forward. To make each event a gift or learning.
In my journey to get through everything that happened in my life and to get unstuck from stagnation and emptiness, I came across Life Coaching and you wouldn’t believe me if I tell you this. My life transformed in an instant. I felt so empowered after enrolling in the course. I became a certified life coach, started my coaching practice, Nelene Flemming – Life Mastery Coaching, and 6 months later resigned as an employee.
There is no bigger reward and fulfillment in life than helping my clients achieving a break through in their lives, achieve their goals and to heal from past events.
Fast forward to the present moment.
Today I am the master of my life. I have a balanced and vibrantly healthy life. The most beautiful event in my day is helping and guiding my clients to master their lives in all areas, whether it is relationships, wealth, career, money, creativity and most important, Spiritually.
This is how I have done it: Mastering myself first, becoming the best version of who God created me to be.
